Representative Roger Reed of Carmel has been serving since 2012.
Reed earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Farmington State College and his Master’s in Education from the University of Southern Maine. For the past 47 years, Roger has been a history teacher and basketball coach at Bangor Christian School and Bangor High School. He is one of the most recognized figures on Maine’s high school basketball scene, having brought eight Gold Balls to Bangor High School during his legendary run there. He’s currently the assistant basketball coach at Hermon High School where his son Mark is the head coach.
When not patrolling the sidelines of the Bangor High hardwood, Roger enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, including his wife of 51 years, Norma, and their two children and five grandchildren.
