Rep. Norm Higgins


Rep. Higgins was sworn in for his first term in the Maine House of Representatives in 2014. He’ll represent the people of House District District 120, including the towns of Atkinson, Brownville, Dover-Foxcroft, Medford, Milo and Plantation of Lake View, plus the unorganized territory of Orneville Township.

Rep. Higgins brings a wealth of experience as an educator to the Maine Legislature and has been appointed to serve on the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee in the 128th Legislature after spending his first two years on the Energy, Utility and Technology Committee.

He worked for many years at Piscataquis Community High School as a teacher and principal. He also serves as superintendent of schools for SAD #4.

Rep. Higgins also served more than a decade in the Maine Army National Guard.

He makes his home in Dover-Foxcroft where he lives with his wife Helen. They have two children.

  1. I do not have a problem with governor lepage conduct. It is better then a politically correct back stabber. The country is tired of political correctness. Its more important what a person does then what he says. I would like to see governor lepage run for congress or the senate in Washington. It would not be boring.
