Maine House Republicans wish Governor Mills well
Offer congratulations, support for continuing Maine’s economic growth and fiscal solvency
STATEHOUSE – Maine House Republican Leaders Kathleen Dillingham (R-Oxford) and Trey Stewart (R-Presque Isle) congratulate Governor Janet T. Mills today and wish her success over the next four years. They also pledge support for continuing Maine’s economic growth and fiscal solvency.
“Voters gave Governor Mills the opportunity to lead Maine over the next four years,” said House Republican Leader Kathleen Dillingham. “We begin 2019 optimistic that the hard-won, pro-growth Republican policies that led to Maine’s economic turnaround will continue to benefit Maine families, taxpayers, businesses and our most vulnerable citizens.
House Republicans pledge to be open, thoughtful, caring and supportive of proposals that strengthen Maine. If necessary, we will also vigorously defend against anything that will undermine our strong economy or fiscal solvency. ”
“Maine enters 2019 with a strong economy and a healthy budget surplus,” said Assistant Leader Trey Stewart. “I can’t think of a better way to begin the New Year. If we are responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars, our strong economic growth can continue and things can improve even more for Maine.”
