House GOP Leaders Statement On Passing of President George Bush

House Republicans are saddened to hear of the passing of President George Bush.

House Republican Leader Rep. Kathleen Dillingham of Oxford volunteered on President Bush’s Presidential campaign back in 1988 while she was in high school. It was her first experience on a Presidential campaign and she looks back on it fondly.

Below is a joint statement from House Republican Leader Rep. Kathleen Dillingham of Oxford and Assistant House Republican Leader Rep. Trey Stewart of Presque Isle:

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of President George Bush. He was a great American and his service to our great country as a naval aviator and forty-first President of the United States should serve as a shining example to all of us who serve the people of our great state and country. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Bush family as the nation mourns the loss of a true American patriot.”
