Rick Mason Sworn In To Represent Lisbon In Maine House Of Representatives
Surrounded by family and friends, Rep. Rick Mason was sworn in as the newest member of the Maine House of Representatives this morning by Governor Paul LePage. Rep. Mason was elected in a special election last month to represent the people of Lisbon, finishing the term started by his late wife, the Honorable Gina Mason, who passed away unexpectedly in September.
“I want to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support during this very challenging time for our family. I look forward to being a strong voice for the people of Lisbon in the Maine House,” said Rep. Mason.
“Rep. Gina Mason is sorely missed in the Maine Legislature. We look forward to welcoming Rep. Rick Mason to our caucus where we know he will proudly carry on her legacy and selfless work in the Maine House of Representatives,” said Assistant House Republican Leader Rep. Ellie Espling of New Gloucester.
Rep. Mason won a special election 1,180 to 868 in November. The second session of the Maine Legislature will begin January 3.
